Preview: Droylsden v Workington

BetVictor North West: Droylsden v Workington

Following Saturday's postponement at Pontefract Collieries due to Storm Dennis, Droylsden return to action against Workington at the Butchers Arms.

The Bloods are currently 16th in the table, 12 points above the relegation zone but 14 points outside the playoffs. Realistically, with the way things have materialised this season, it looks as if Dave Pace's side are destined for a mid-table finish in what is their sixth season at this level.

Droylsden enter the game having lost their previous two fixtures, conceding nine goals in the process and scoring none.

And as far as fixtures are concerned they don't get much harder than a clash against Workington, who are hoping to bounce back from last season's relegation and are in a great position to do so. Currently second in the table and two points below leaders Ramsbottom United, a victory this evening would send Workington to the summit.

Scott Allison is the man to look out for having notched 15 times this season.

In player news at the Butchers Arms, Pace has strengthened his squad with young forward Alex O’Neill joining from Accrington Stanley until late March.
