Hyde United have confirmed the signing of Harry Ditchfield until the end of the 2022/23 season.
The Hattersley born youngster joined the Tigers in October having been released by Salford City in the summer, where he had come through their youth system.
Ditchfield can play on either flank and has made a big impact in his short time at the club.
The 20-year-old said: ‘‘I’m happy, I’ve really enjoyed it since I have been here, the focus now is to stay up and then look forward to next season and see what we can achieve".
Manager Nick Spooner said: ”It’s good for the football club, It’s another young lad who, since I've come in, has done well and it’s really exciting times for Harry and the football club.”
The club has also signed 19-year-old defender Ryan Grant on a one-month loan from Blackpool.
Grant has spent time on loan this season with Widnes and Grantham Town. He initially signed for the Seasiders on a professional contact in August 2021.
Hyde picked up a huge three points in their bid against the drop with a 1-0 victory at Atherton Collieries last weekend. Jack Dyche scored the only goal of the game in the 68th minute. The striker capitalised on a loose ball inside the box and headed home from close range. The result leaves Hyde 20th in the table and they now have a six point cushion above the relegation zone.
