Six men have been charged in relation to a kidnap that occurred in Tameside on January 24, where a man was assaulted and forced into a car on Chester Avenue in Dukinfield.
The victim has since been located safe and well.
The following men have been charged and remanded with kidnap and are due to appear at Minshull Street Crown Court on March 1, 2024:
- Paul Doherty , 25, of Daventry Avenue in Bispham, Blackpool
- Marshall Redfern, 23,of Fox Street, Heywood
- Joshua Oakes, 28, of Halifax Road, Rochdale
- Daniel Hague, 23, of Red Bank Road, Bispham, Blackpool
Edward Dowdall, 31, of Stronsay Place, in Bispham in Blackpool, was also charged and released on court bail to appear at Minshull Street Crown Court 01/03/24
Jack Laferty, 19, of no fixed adress was charged and remanded with conspiracy to kidnap and concerned in the supply of cocaine. He was due to appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court today.
Two teenage girls, aged 18 and 17, were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to kidnap and have been released on bail pending further enquiries.
