In October last year local group Hyde Fundraisers announced they were to host another fundraising Character Curry at The Indian Plaza in Audenshaw in association with Councillor Denise Ward.
The response has been amazing with local businesses and families booking places for the event taking place on Tuesday February 17th. Hyde Fundraisers have announced that in addition to BBC Children In Need they will also be making donations to The Ricky Hatton Foundation, Tameside Young Carers, Reuben’s Retreat, Willow Wood Hospice and KidsCan. Kidscan is a children's cancer research charity based in Salford that funds research into new and improved treatments for children with cancer.
Steve Haines from Hyde Fundraisers said: “We are hoping people will be joining us for second helping of the Character Curry which will have a special visit from Wallace & Gromit, BB8, Predator, The Joker and others visiting your table for great photo opportunities. There’s also live music courtesy of performer Roger De Genero with some great ballads with a few numbers from young Jack Doyle and also a great prize raffle too!”
The raffle is being organised by Cllr Ward so if you would like to make a donation you can contact her via Denise.Ward@tameside.gov.uk
The evening starts at 6pm and will see ticket holders enjoy delicious poppadoms, chutneys and a tasty curry to support some really good causes. Not only that, but you will also have a unique character dining experience too. It’s a great evening for all the family to enjoy and tickets are likely to get snapped up quickly.
To book your place for adults it will be £20 and children under 10 years for £5 each - there are still places available but hurry - call 0161 371 7474.
