Police have confirmed that an eight-year-old child has been hit by a vehicle in Stalybridge.
Emergency services rushed to Hamilton Street in the town shortly after 5pm on Wednesday (16 February).
A large response has been witnessed in the area and the road is cordoned off between the junctions of Cumberland Street and Harrison Street as investigations continue.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said an eight-year-old child on a bicycle was injured and a male is currently speaking with officers in connection with the incident.
The child's condition is not yet known.
