As the nation mourns the loss of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, people from across Tameside are reflecting on their memories of the monarch.
Stalybridge resident and Chief Executive of Oldham Council, Harry Catherall, recalls his monumental meeting with the Queen.
Whilst working at Blackburn Council, Harry was tasked with organising the Maundy Thursday event, a day that saw the Queen enjoy celebrations in Lancashire.
During the event, he recalls the Queen requesting a Lancashire hotpot as her meal of choice, a fitting tribute as she journeyed to the county.
Not only was Harry able to meet and shake hands with Her Majesty, but he also felt immensely privileged to dine with the British icon.
Echoing the beliefs of the nation, Harry confirmed that Queen Elizabeth was both a kind and relatable woman, touching the hearts of everyone that was honoured to grace her presence.
