Supporters of Willow Wood Hospice are dusting off their pink Stetsons and feather boas as the Midnight Wander draws near.
The event is planned for Friday (23 July) although timings are slightly different this year.
Organiser Laura Marinelli explained: “We’ve decided to set off at 9pm to make it easier for families or those working over the weekend to take part. As it’s 10k, we’re expecting the majority of walkers to be arriving back at our sponsors Astley Sports Village just after midnight, where they’ll be greeted with their medal and a very welcome hot sandwich.”
There’s still time to get involved with the fundraiser. Just visit www.willowwood.info to join online and if you haven’t got any pink accessories, just call into the hospice’s reception gift shop.
There you will find pink wigs, pink tutus, pink legwarmers, pink Stetsons, pink bunny ears, pink head boppers and more.
“We’ve even got a pink raffle with some fab pink prizes,” added Laura.
Astley Sports Village, on Yew Tree Lane, Dukinfield, is offering the fantastic opportunity of a week’s free membership for all participants in the Midnight Wander.
To take advantage of the special deal, you can email Laura on laura.marinelli@willowwood.info
