Improvements in the pipeline for Dukinfield's Rayner Stephens High School have been revealed.
The plan involves building a new two-storey arts wing extension which will link to the school’s existing south block and central link building.
The new building at the Yew Tree Lane school would see the creation of new large teaching classrooms/studio, a music room, drama studio, stores and retractable seating recess plus a new large arts studio classroom.
The proposals are considered essential to assist the significant long-term improvement of facilities and subsequently pupil attainment in a number of study areas at the school.
The plans have been submitted to Tameside Council.
