Members of the 2nd Dukinfield Scout Group recently enjoyed a very informative Zoom session with Wes Turner from the RAF.
Wes (pictured) has previously flown in E-3D Sentry planes - an early warning and sentry aircraft.
There was a good turn- out of children from all sections and Wes showed the scouts his uniform, talked about his job and flying in different conditions, plus showed a video of the E-3D in flight.
Wes was also happy to help the scouts out with their Air Activities Level 1 and Level 2 badges.
He then took many questions from the children.
Many asked what it was like flying and what planes he had flown in the past, plus how fast they went - and even if he had seen an alien!
However one interesting question was about whether girls could do the job from one young Beaver who might have a future career in mind.
