Residents have been told to keep their doors and windows closed as firefighters battle a blaze in Hyde.
The fire is on Meadow Street and Stockport Road in the town, Manchester Fire and Rescue service has revealed.
A spokesman said: "There is a lot of smoke in the area, so if you live nearby, you're advised to keep your door and windows closed.
"Please avoid the area if possible to allow crews to carry out their work."
