A house fire broke out in Dukinfield in the early hours of Thursday morning, leading to the road being closed and residents being evacuated.
At around 4am on Thursday (September 10th), firefighters attended a house fire on Park Road, Dukinfield. Several houses were impacted, and residents of neighbouring properties were evacuated as a precautionary measure.
Five fire engines and one aerial appliance tackled the fire, and one person was taken to hospital.
Emergency services remain on the scene, and the road remains closed.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said: “At 4am today (Thursday 10 September), five fire engines from Stalybridge, Ashton, Hollins, Mossley and Hyde stations, and one aerial appliance, attended a house fire on Park Road, Dukinfield.
“Crews wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reels to extinguish the fire and remain in attendance at the scene. One person was taken to hospital by North West Ambulance Service.”
