Emergency services were called out to a road traffic accident involving a car and a taxi in Ashton this morning.
The collision happened on Bentinck Street at the junction of Hill Street, at around 9am.
The driver and a passenger of the Nissan Qashqai and two passengers, including the driver of the Mercedes Bluetech taxi miraculously escaped unhurt.
Police at the scene of the crash said the accident had happened when the driver of the Nissan drove straight through the junction not seeing the road markings clearly.
The junction was closed for further investigations.
