Local lad Mark Neal raised £2,450 at the weekend all in support of Charity!
Mark has chosen The Christie Charity. Christies is close to his heart, as his mum sadly lost her life in March 2023 after a battle with cancer.
Before the event he said “I've chosen this charity because their mission means a lot to me, especially for what they did for my Mum. I hope that you'll consider contributing as a way of celebrating with me. Every little bit will help me reach my goal”.
The Christie Charity supports cancer research, care and treatment above and beyond that which the NHS provides,
Mark's head and beard shave took place at The Jolly Hatters Inn, Denton, last Saturday and raised a total of £2,450. Mark is donating £2,250 to The Christie Charity as well as £200 to the Little Princess Trust Charity, who provide real hair wigs, free of charge, to children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer.
