A man is fighting for his life in hospital after falling from a bridge onto the M60.
Emergency services were called to the motorway between Denton and Ashton-under-Lyne at around half past eight last night (Monday 15th June 2026) following reports of concern for a man’s welfare.
Police say the man was on the wrong side of a bridge before falling onto the carriageway.
He was taken to hospital with serious injuries and remains in a critical condition.
The motorway was closed in both directions for around two hours while crews dealt with the incident, reopening at around half past ten.
Greater Manchester Police say enquiries are ongoing.
