Police have confirmed that a man was found dead in Denton in the early hours of the morning.
Greater Manchester Police said they were called to a report of concern for the welfare of a man on Lance Corporal Andrew Breeze Way at around 4am on Thursday (15 September).
The road runs adjacent to the M67 motorway. The eastbound carriageway at junction 1A to 2 and Edward Street in Denton from Wood Street to Lance Corporal Andrew Breeze Way was closed for several hours, reopening at around 7.30am.
A GMP spokesperson said a man was pronounced dead at the scene, despite the best efforts of emergency services.
They added that there are believed to be no suspicious circumstances as enquiries continue.
