Metrolink has confirmed that there will be no trams on the Ashton line on Sunday (12 January) until 2pm.
Instead, a bus replacement service will be in operation from the start of the day to operate at all stops in both directions - serving Ashton-under-Lyne, Ashton West, Ashton Moss, Audenshaw, Droylsden, Cemetery Road, Edge Lane, Clayton Hall, Velopark, Holt Town, New Islington, Piccadilly and Piccadilly Gardens.
On the Eccles line, services will also terminate at Piccadilly Gardens. There will be no Piccadilly services on the Altrincham and Bury lines until 2pm but trams will run directly between Altrincham and Bury.
Metrolink say it is undertaking essential engineering work and apologise to passengers for any inconvenience caused.
