Rayner praises Guide Bridge station volunteers

Angela Rayner MP has visited Guide Bridge Station, and praised the work being done by a volunteer group seeking to improve the grounds.

Angela Rayner MP spent Monday (July 13th) afternoon with volunteers from the Friends of Guide Bridge Station, celebrating the remarkable transformation they have made to the station’s gardens.

The dedicated group has worked tirelessly to turn the grounds from “drab to fab”, creating a welcoming and attractive environment for passengers and visitors alike.

The Friends of Guide Bridge Station are also seeking to secure a lease that would allow them to open the station museum. Following her visit, Ms Rayner has asked Network Rail to meet with her to discuss how the group can be supported in achieving this goal.

Angela Rayner said: “The Friends of Guide Bridge put so much effort into the station grounds and I am always amazed by the scale of what they manage to achieve. I am so proud of them and I will continue to support their efforts to get the museum open so their excellent work can continue to make the station even better.”
