More than 100 people will be putting on their dancing shoes tomorrow (Friday) in a bid to raise money for Dementia UK.
Organised by Laura Costello, the dance-a-thon kicks off at 7.30pm at Bower Fold Events, Stalybridge Celtic Football Club, where people will boogie to music from the 60s to the present day.
If you can’t dance for a full four hours, you are more than welcome to listen to the music, try their hand at winning the raffle with prizes donated by local businesses or pick at a hot food buffet.
This is not the first event Laura has organised in aid for charity, having pulled off a similarly successful evening a few years back:
“I did this a few years ago to raise money for an Alzheimer’s charity - my mum has dementia.
“I thought since that one was a success I should do it again but for another cause.”
If you’d like to join in, tickets can be purchased by calling Laura on 07568081890 or emailing her at laurac39@hotmail.co.uk.
E-tickets can be sent or put aside for collection on the night.
Any monetary or raffle donations are also extremely welcome.
