Records crew named hospital's heroes

Tameside Hospital’s Medical Records Scanning Team are the latest recipients of a prestigious Who’s Your Hero Award, given for an outstanding contribution, and nominated by colleagues and patients.

The team digitise documents and records, ensuring they are readily available for medical colleagues and retain integrity for continued patient care. They were nominated for not only bring exceptional at what they do, but for consistently helping other teams when called upon. Karen James OBE, Chief Executive at Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS FT presented the award and told them their work was vital but because of its natures can often go under the radar.

“It was great to spend some time with the team and to present them with their award which was much deserved. To be able to thank them for everything they do and to tell them how valued they are was a special moment for me too,” she added.
