Rise in thefts from cars in Dukinfield prompts police plea

Police are asking Dukinfield residents for their help in clamping down on a spate of thefts from cars in area.

Images have circulated on social media of alleged thefts, and GMP are keen that people send any pictures or videos direct to them.

“We understand some residents might have information, CCTV, images or even screenshots of messages about the individuals involved in theft from motor vehicle (this includes attempting to gain access to a vehicle).

“Please, if you have any of the above send to your local Neighbourhood Team via tamesidenorth@gmp.police.uk as soon as possible.

“Speculation via social media will not help ongoing investigations, so please refrain from doing this.”
