A Mossley butcher is all smiles after scooping a top award.
Pattison’s Family Butchers on Manchester Road has been presented with a High Sheriff Special Recognition Award following their outstanding contribution to the community during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The High Sheriff of Greater Manchester Eamonn O’Neal said the butcher’s shop was nominated for its ‘amazing service’ by securing ‘a seemingly endless supply of food and ensuring elderly residents and those who were isolated received what they needed, delivering well into the night.’
He said: “Your staff are always helpful, cheerful and welcoming.”
Butcher Craig Pattison said he was chuffed to receive the recognition.
He added: “The certificate was cool. But the personalised letter really got me and everyone who has heard about it agrees it was well deserved.
“I’m proud, but I couldn’t have done any of it without the people around me - Chloe, Aiden and Lucie.”
