Willow Wood Hospice are looking for brave people who feel up to walking on flames at their Firewalk this weekend.
The Ashton-based hospice are holding the event, which is also a family fun day, at Stalybridge Fire Station on Rassbottom Street on Sunday (27 October).
To celebrate their 20th anniversary, Willow Wood have organised their hottest fundraiser yet, where fire walkers will be taught how to overcome fears by walking bare foot over hot coals by professional organisation ‘Time 4 Change’.
The fun day starts at 5pm, featuring a mini fire engine, fairground rides, refreshments, gift stalls and games, before the firewall gets under way at 6pm.
All proceeds from the fun day will go to The Fire Fighters Charity, which supports fire fighters in the line of duty with their mental health, physical health and social wellbeing.
Registration for the Firewalk is £25, with all proceeds going to Willow Wood. To register your place, visit www.willowwood.info.
