Tim Fernley

Tim’s radio journey began at 8 Towns Radio, based in a basement studio in Ashton.

Tim was the Bingo Show presenter, a request collector on the hospital Maternity ward, and also an occasional radiothon presenter.

From there he had stints as presenter on radio stations in Stockport, the High Peak, Derbyshire and Oldham, before joining the BBC, and working in his current role supporting production teams creating content for National radio's 2, 3, 4, 5 live, BBC Sounds and the World Service.

You can hear Tim on Tameside Radio every Saturday afternoon between 1 and 3pm.
