Police are appealing for help after a second incident of criminal damage involving a bus in Hadfield in recent weeks.
It happened at around 9.15am on Christmas Eve (Thursday 24 December) when the bus was travelling along Higher Barn Road towards Green Lane.
The driver heard "a bang" whilst driving around the Pear Tree Close area but continued on the journey to Glossop, where he subsequently found that a glass pane on the emergency exit door of the bus had been damaged.
Meanwhile, mud was also thrown at a bus driver's side window at the top of Chapel Lane, towards the Hadfield Cross end of the road, at around 10am on Wednesday 6 January.
Hadfield Police Safer Neighbourhood Team said no damage was caused on that occasion but it was "more by luck than judgement and could have resulted in something more serious". They added that the alleged culprits are described as being 13 or 14 year old boys.
As we have previously reported, there has been a spate of anti-social behaviour in the Hadfield area in recent months.
