As the conflict in Ukraine intensifies with an attack on a nuclear power station, there are plans around the world for demonstrations against the war this weekend.
In Manchester, people will gather at 1pm in St Anne's Square on Sunday (6 March), while in Glossop there will be a protest at 11am on Saturday (5 March).
Members of Glossop Peace Group will be giving out leaflets opposing the war, in solidarity with the people of Ukraine and with those in Russia who are opposing the war.
A spokesperson for the group said: "Members will also be making links with the need to work for common security and invest in protecting our environment. We are now closer to nuclear war than at any time since the Cuban Missile crisis and it is essential to de-escalate the situation."
