Padfield school's parking plea

Padfield Community Primary School is urging motorists to be extra careful when driving near the school.

A piece in the school’s latest newsletter says: "We have had another near miss with a car mounting the kerb to park on Post Street as a family were walking down.

"Please do not park on Post Street or anywhere near school where families are walking."

Meanwhile tomorrow (Friday), the whole school will be doing its very own Sport Relief Mile. The infants will be running/walking laps of the playground and the juniors will be running a mile on the Longdendale Trail.

Class 4 is also supporting Padfield Residents’ Association in planting trees in Temple Street Park.
