Prison for 'blatant spree of offending'

Tameside magistrates have jailed a 31-year-old man from Oldham for 20 weeks for 'a blatant spree of offending while on a court order'.

Bradley Jackson, of Manchester Street, faced six charges of stealing items from Oldham's Sainsburys store between September 27 and October 2.

In total, goods worth £390 were taken.

He also pleaded guilty to breaking into another Oldham store and stealing cigarettes worth more than £240.

He was issued with a restraining order, plus ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £122.
