The draw for the first qualifying round of the FA Cup has been completed, with three Tameside clubs learning their fate.
Curzon Ashton have been handed a home tie, with NPL East side Bradford (Park Avenue) – who dumped out Mossley in the previous round – set to visit the Tameside Stadium.
The Nash – who made the first-round proper three years running between 2022 and 2024 – will be looking to avoid an upset after a poor start to their league campaign.
Elsewhere, Hyde United and Ashton United both face away ties in football’s oldest national football competition.
The Tigers travel to Michael Clegg’s former employers – and last season’s NPL Premier play-off finalists – Warrington Rylands.
Hyde enjoyed a stellar FA Cup run last season, coming within a win of the first-round proper before a narrow defeat to National League side Tamworth.
Finally, Ashton United will also face NPL Premier opposition, with the long trip to Whitby Town on the horizon.
The pair met last week at Hurst Cross, with James Hardy’s double enough to earn Steve Cunningham’s side all three points.
The Robins suffered a disappointing exit from last season’s competition, bowing out at the third qualifying round stage at the hands of Runcorn Linnets.
The three ties will take place on Saturday, September 5.
