Hyde's artisan market was out of this world

Hyde town centre was invaded by some 'out of this world' characters during its latest artisan market.

Local group the Hyde Fundraisers brought the Civic Square and Hyde Indoor Market to life last Saturday (4 September) for a specially themed sci-fi event - which was due to take last year but was postponed due to Covid-19.

Families turned out to have lots of science-related fun and meet the characters, while the Civic Mayor of Tameside Councillor Janet Cooper also attended with her consort Dennis Fitzpatrick.

Meanwhile, a number of local traders, groups, organisations and small businesses were present showcasing the best of what they have to offer.

You can look out for the Hyde Fundraisers across Tameside as they continue to share their love for sci-fi and raise much appreciated funds for those who need them most.

Hyde's artisan market takes place on the first Saturday of the month, with the next scheduled for Saturday 2 October.
