A man has been arrested and a number of drugs were seized after police stopped a vehicle in Ashton.
The vehicle was driving at speed on Oldham Road and the occupants made off from B relief Transport Unit officers on Wednesday evening (13 October).
But the male passenger had left ID documents behind in his drug bag and, no sooner had the vehicle been recovered, police found him running across Aldi car park trying to escape for a second time.
Police said he was arrested and now in custody, while a cloned vehicle was recovered and a 'quantity' of Class A and Class B drugs were seized.
