Scanner Appeal tops £50k

The Tameside Hospital Scanner Appeal has topped £50,000.

The grand total to date now stands at a magnificent £53,552.56.

Scores of fundraising events were underway to help raise £1m for a new state-of-the-art scanner at the hospital.

Sadly those fundraisers are presently on hold until further notice as a result of the coronavirus outbreak.

However, there are still ways you can support the appeal and donations can still be given online at the Just Giving page https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/tangscanner.

Donations can also be deposited in the special wheelbarrow situated in Hartshead South at Tameside Hospital near to the enquiries desk.

Cheques to the appeal can also be posted to the head of fundraising Angela Wild and sent for Angela’s attention to: Silver Springs, Trust Headquarters, Tameside & Glossop Integrated Care NHS FT, Ashton, OL6 9RW .

Angela added: “Thanks a million to everyone who has supported us so far - it’s been truly amazing.”
