Curzon Ashton have confirmed the departure of a number of players.
Goalkeeper Cameron Mason, who was the longest serving player at the club, has said his goodbyes after six years at the Tameside Stadium, whilst Robbie Evans, who joined from Wrexham two seasons ago, has also left.
Paul Turnbull, who joined the club last season having helped Stockport County to the National League North title, has also left along with defender Noah Stokes, who joined the club after his release from Mansfield Town at the start of last season.
Fellow defender Doug Tharme, who joined the club from Wrexham last season, has also left. Striker Jude Oyibo has also departed and recently signed fro Chester.
There has been a fair amount of discussion among the Oldham Athletic fanbase about the club’s financial situation in light of the fact that Micky Mellon’s transfer activity is strictly controlled this January – he needs to get players out through sales and loans before he can get anyone in.
