Students at Tameside College have raised around £200 for a guide dogs charity after organising a fun public event.
Around 100 people flocked into the public restaurant at Tameside One in Ashton town centre last Thursday (February 27).
The three-hour event - organised by Level 3 Travel and Tourism students at the college - saw visitors get the opportunity to meet guide dogs and talk to their owners.
The guide dogs and the puppies certainly proved a massive hit among the college students in attendance!
There was also cakes on sale, a tombola, the chance to decorate a biscuit, name the bear and much more.
The event managed to raise £161 which, topped up by donations from classes in the college, took the total to around £200.
All proceeds have gone to The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association, who help to provide and train guide dogs across the country.

Bethany Nuttall, a Travel and Tourism Level 2 Extended student who helped to organise the event, said: "The event went really well. We all had so much fun on the day, covering our stalls, chatting to customers and talking to the guide dog owners.
"We are all very happy with how the event went and we would all like to say a massive thank you to all of the people that came along on the day and contributed donations, no matter how big or small.
"We'd also like to thank the Tameside Reporter and Tameside Radio for supporting us on this event - it's been a pleasure working with the teams."
