Stamford Park fun day drums up support

Fun in the sun was the name of the game on Sunday when Tameside's Stamford Park hosted its successful annual fun day.

Promising something for everyone, visitors could make the most of the facilities including the water feature, aviary, boating lake, and Highfield Pavilion café.

There was a host of free entertainment including face painting, balloon modelling, birds of prey, crafts, a climbing wall, music and walkabout acts – all against a backdrop of spring flowers.

Transport for Greater Manchester was on hand to provide advice on walking and cycling routes, cycle training and maintenance courses.

You could even take your bike along for a MOT and TfGM’s Dr Bike mechanic fixed minor bike repairs.

There were numerous stalls, music and even a fun dog show.
